Walk-In Cooler

For beer by the case or half case, we feature an extremely large walk-in cooler.  All your favorite brands such as Miller, Bud, Grain Belt, Coors, and more are available to you at extremely competitive prices.  In addition to our major brands, we occasionally pick up “lesser known” or “not-at-all known” beer on the cheap, and we’re glad to pass those savings on to you.  We’re confident that you won’t find a better price on beer anywhere in the Twin Cities.  If you do, please let us know and we’ll see what we can do for you.

Specialty Beers

There are times when you want something special in a beer.  We carry over 100 specialty beers from around the globe.  If there’s something specific you’re looking for which we don’t have, please contact us and we will surely be able to order it for you.

Beer Tastings

As we’ve said, we really love beer, and we’re fortunate that we get to try all different kinds from near and far.  We want you to enjoy the same experience, which is why we offer beer tastings both in the store and for private parties.  If you’d like to be notified of our beer tastings, please join our contact list using the form in the far upper right corner of  our page.  If you’re interested in a private tasting, please give us  a call.

COLD BEER!

Our coolers are up and running and we have cold beer.  Thank you for your patience.  We love you in a retailer/customer way that can’t be broken.  A tear.

Bell’s Hopslam

20120215-195634.jpg

Starting with six different hop varietals added to the brew kettle & culminating with a massive dry-hop addition of Simcoe hops, Bell’s Hopslam Ale possesses the most complex hopping schedule in the Bell’s repertoire. Selected specifically because of their aromatic qualities, these Pacific Northwest varieties contribute a pungent blend of grapefruit, stone fruit, and floral notes. A generous malt bill and a solid dollop of honey provide just enough body to keep the balance in check, resulting in a remarkably drinkable rendition of the Double India Pale Ale style.

Shock Top Wheat IPA

20120215-190337.jpg

Shock Top Wheat IPA takes the original Shock Top, a spiced Belgian-style wheat ale, and then adds cascade hops.  The result is a refreshing, light IPA that tends to be more of a complex Belgian-style wheat ale than an IPA, but I guess it should be since wheat is before IPA on the label.

Alaskan Brewing Company

history

Alaska has a rich history of brewing. From the explorers of the 1700s through the Gold Rush, many a thirsty Alaskan has been able to enjoy locally made beers.

In 1986, 28-year-olds Marcy and Geoff Larson reignited that tradition when they opened the Alaskan Brewing Company, the 67th brewery in the country and the first brewery in Juneau since Prohibition. Alaskan beers reflect many of the same characteristics of beers that were brewed here during the gold rush era. From the historically based Alaskan Amber recipe to alder-smoked malts and Sitka spruce tips, Alaskan beers reflect Juneau’s local brewing history and innovation.

Stone Brewing Co.

stone pale ale

Stone Pale Ale is a Southern California interpretation of the classic British pale ale style. Deep amber in color, Stone Pale Ale is robust and full flavored. A delicate hop aroma is complemented by a rich maltiness. This is an ale for those who have learned to appreciate distinctive flavor. Stone Pale Ale is great by itself, or with food that requires a beer of character.

stone india pale ale

An “India Pale Ale” by definition is highly hopped and high in alcohol – you’ll find our Stone India Pale Ale to be true to style with a huge hop aroma, flavor and bitterness throughout. If you’re a hop-head like us, then you’ll love our Stone India Pale Ale! Medium malt character with a heavy dose of over the top hops! Generous “dry hopping” gives this beer its abundant hop aroma and crisp hop flavor.

stone ruination ipa

So called because of the “ruinous” effect on your palate! This massive hop monster has a wonderfully delicious and intensely bitter flavor on a refreshing malt base. One taste and you can easily see why we call this brew “a liquid poem to the glory of the hop!” Those who seek, crave and rejoice in beers with big, bold, bitter character will find true nirvana in Stone Ruination IPA!
